Showcasing a wonderful collection of small birds, the Newbury Cage Bird Society will be attending the Highclere Show over the May Bank Holiday.
The cage birds on show are staged by Newbury & District Cage Bird Society. These birds are a small selection of birds that are shown at many shows all over the country. They are trained to go into the show cages and are exhibition birds. They are only kept within the cages for the duration of the show. After each show they are transferred to larger cages or avairies.
The Newbury & District Cage Bird Society has been running for over 60 years and meets once a month at Brimpton Village Hall on the fourth Tuesday of each month. They also hold an Open Show each year and for further details please contact Bernie Piper on 01635 770014.
