The Highclere Country Show arrives over the second May Bank Holiday for 2019, bringing lots of new features, brand new acts and plenty of country inspired activities for all ages to get involved in and enjoy!

Making the perfect day out for the whole family, the Highclere Country Show is nestled in a truly stunning location too. In fact visitors to this year’s event will be able to witness the full splendour of Highclere Castle, whilst soaking up the celebratory atmosphere of the Show.

This May visitors can enjoy a superb line-up of activity, including the UK’s number one mountain bike stunt display, the M.A.D Team, the country’s best known lumberjack display team, the Adam’s Axemen, awesome stunts and daredevil antics with the Moto Stunts International, seasoned demonstrator and hunter gatherer Chris Green will be performing, as will be Dangerous Steve, who brings his non-stop, thrill a minute performance that features fire, chainsaw juggling, ladder balancing and plenty more jaw-dropping stunts!

Also arriving at Highclere this year is a brand new Interactive Arena, which by far is the place to try some of the more hands on activities in store. From Simulated Coursing with some of the finest earth and running dogs, K & H Falconry who performs with some of the UK’s most beautiful birds of prey, to sheepdog herding, where visitors can try their hands at working a Border Collie with David Seamark’s Sheepdog Demonstration.

It’s all about the kids this late May Bank Holiday too with brand new Kids Zones offering the younger ones something to do at every turn. Perfect for keeping the little ones busy, make sure you look out for face painting, balloon modelling, a giant deckchair, gold panning, Dunreth Alpacas, a mini farm, a Punch & Judy display with Panic Circus, amongst many more activities that has something for every age.

For the older ones amongst us, Highclere welcomes a brand new Food Festival complete with a Chefs Demo Area. Here foodies can watch professional Chefs Rachel Green, Tim Maddams and Gary McClure create some awe-inspiring, delectable dishes. Elsewhere amongst the Show, there’s celebratory sounds from inside the Folk Roots Festival, a brand new Club Tent offering crafts and rural past times from clubs in and around the local area, plus qualifiers in the ever-popular Chudleys Gundog Championship, Terrier and Lurcher events and BASC Clay Shooting competitions.
