The Chudleys Gundog Championship returns to the Highclere Country Show this weekend, welcoming handlers and their dogs to the popular southern event to try and grab a place in the highly sort after Chudleys Gundog Championship Grand Final.

Taking place in the remarkable grounds of Highclere Castle, the Chudleys Gundog Championship is truly one of a kind. Sponsored by Chudleys Dog Food, the Championship has a range of exciting scurries and a Working Test that will really put competitors through their paces. From the Up ‘n’ Over, Long Retrieve, Short Fence, Duck Distraction and Pick ‘n’ Mix, the Scurries are a great place to pit your gundogs against the clock. For those wanting to try a timed, simulated shoot, the Working Test offers the perfect challenge.

Qualifiers from this weekend’s Highclere Country Show will then go head to head with other finalists at the Midland Game Fair’s Grand Final in September, with the titleholder awarded £2,000 cash, an engraved trophy and rosette. Have you got what it takes?

The next qualifying rounds in the Chudleys Gundog Championship will take place at the Highclere Country Show over 26th & 27th May 2019. To get involved in all of the action this season, just turn up and sign up, it really is that simple! If you book your tickets in advance too, you can save, simply turn up at Highclere this weekend and buy your tickets on the gates.
