The Highclere Country Show welcomed in hundreds of visitors over the Bank Holiday weekend, bringing a programme full of family inspired entertainment, plenty of sporting qualifiers plus a host of country inspired activities and shopping opportunities for all ages to get involved in and enjoy!
Set in the glorious grounds of Highclere Castle, the event is one hundreds of revellers flock to year on year. Not only were visitors able to catch all the fun of the fair, the Castle itself was also a sight to behold with many visitors able to witness the Show’s beautiful backdrop in all its full splendour.
With an abundance of performances headlining over the Bank Holiday, visitors were able to catch some fantastic acts. From the UK’s number one mountain bike stunt display, the M.A.D Team and the country’s best known lumberjack display team, the Adam’s Axemen to the highly entertaining antics of Dangerous Steve, visitors of all ages we’re able to catch some awe-inspiring, high energy performances.
With the arrival of the brand new Food Festival complete with a Chefs Demo Area at Highclere too this year, as well as gundog handling, clay shooting, picnic areas, craft and antiques fairs, lots of live music as well as over 200 exhibition stands, visitors of every age had fun and got involved in the celebratory atmosphere.
Operations Director, Jerome Roberts, says of this year’s event: “What a great weekend it’s been at the 2019 Highclere Country Show! We’re thrilled so many of you celebrated with us and got involved in the abundance of countryside features and activities we had lined up. From the incredible Main Arena performances to the more hands on activities over at the Kids Zone and at the Food Festival, hundreds of you got involved, joined in the fun and took away some fantastic memories. We thank each and every one of you who continue to support our country shows and with both our Lowther Show and The Midland Game Fair still to come in 2019, we’re sure our visitors will once again join us for some more outdoor, country fun very soon!”
